På Taket at Tornhuset in Umeå, Sweden

The Roof is a rooftop terrace we have turned into a watering hole. A thoroughly exuberant restaurant.

In May, the terrace may serve as Bröd och Vin's outdoor seating. In June, ”På Taket” opens: a restaurant within the restaurant, with its own relaxed menu and sharp cocktails. A place made for gazing out over the town hall park and the Ume river, or for a bottle (or two) of Champagne in an ice bucket. ”Dancing on the ceiling” by Lionel Ritchie.
When late summer and autumn come knocking, we roll out the heated awning, serve crayfish and surströmming in August and open the shellfish weeks in September. For those with something to celebrate, the Roof is open all year round for larger parties. Party. Floor. Did we say exuberant?
Sit down, drink something cold, eat something good, watch the people go by, and let the afternoons turn into long warm summer nights or soft, dusky autumn evenings.
Welcome up to På Taket.
